About this event
Minneapolis Edible Boulevards is excited to partner with Compassionate Action for Animals' Outreach Coordinator, Tamuno Imbu, and his class, "Cooking with Tamuno". Tamuno will teach us how to make Nigerian Red Stew, which is a popular and delicious dish in Nigerian culture. Tamuno shares: "This stew is a version of one my father (Tamuno Sr.) used to make. We would have it at celebrations and family gatherings. The true measure of success for me was when I served this dish to my mother and she enjoyed every last drop." We'll talk more with Tamuno about this celebration of his roots, family and food when we cook together (you can always join to watch too!).

If you live in one of the Minneapolis Green Zone neighborhoods (Midtown Phillips, Phillips West, East Phillips, Cedar Riverside, Ventura Village, Bottineau, Marshall Terrace, St. Anthony West, Sheridan, Near North, McKinley or Hawthorne), and it'd help you be able to cook with us, we still have a few $10 gift cards for the Seward Co-op and North Market respectively. Just let us know when you register.
Recording will be available on FB for those who can't attend, so you can cook along when it works for you. We'll also be livestreaming on FB (fingers crosssed) (if you have trouble with Zoom).
Register here by 10:00 p.m. on December 8:
