Writing for Animals Group

Want to make a difference for animals? Join our monthly Writing for Animals group! Together, we write and publish short pieces that advocate for stronger protections for animals. Each session starts with a brief look at recent news on animal issues and plant-based food. If anyone has an op-ed or other short piece they’d like feedback on, we’ll do a quick peer review and help find images if needed. Then we move into quiet co-writing time to work on op-eds, letters, and other writing for animals. Not sure what to write about? The news review is a great place to find ideas, and we’ll also have a suggested writing action, like contacting a company or legislator about an ongoing animal issue. It’s free, and you don’t need to bring anything finished. Just come ready to write!
