About this event

As Candle prepares to close its doors at the end of September, Plant Powered Metro New York and the NYC Vegetarian and Vegan Meetup invite you to celebrate the restaurant’s legacy and more recent reinvention under owner and chef Jorge Pineda, in a special evening of food and community in Kips Bay. Candle became an early participant in PPMNY’s Plant Powered Plates initiative which brings more whole food, plant-based options to the region through close collaboration with local eateries. When you register for the Final Toast Experience, the $25 fixed price includes a mocktail mojito, twin tacos with roasted cauliflower and wild mushroom, and gratuity. We also encourage our guests to order an additional dish or entrée, especially the whole-food options on their Plant Powered Plates menu. All dishes are free of animal products and added sugar but may contain some salt and oil. Gluten-free options will be available. All reservations are requested by 12:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15. After this time, limited space may be available, and we may not be able to honor refund requests.
