About this event

What do we miss when human minds become the measure of all others? PhD student Nina Van Rooy will guide us through the philosophy of animal cognition, exploring how human-centered assumptions shape the science of animal minds - and why those assumptions matter for how animals are understood and treated. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Nina's bio: https://scholars.duke.edu/person/nina.van.rooy The talk will be from 11am-1pm at Talley Student Union, Room 3285 at NC State. We will head over to Element Gastropub afterwards.
