With over 1.1 billion monthly active users, Reddit can serve many purposes—from awareness-raising to corporate campaign pressure to local recruitment. Attendees will learn why and how Reddit can be a powerful tool in the fight for a kinder, more just world for animals. Sean will also walk us through proven tips and tricks on how to create and share social media content with massive potential. We'll learn strategies behind viral reach, how to capture attention in seconds, and what separates posts that fade away from the ones that take off. During the height of COVID-19, he obtained a master's in nutrition to help guide people towards a plant-based diet. Sean and his partner took time off paid work to volunteer as animal rights activists, helping to form and grow North Carolina Animal Advocates United (NCAAU). Sean has experience with pressure campaign protests, vegan street outreach, legislative advocacy, and extensive online outreach; He seeks to help animals in any way he can. Notably, Sean has earned over 200 million views on his animal and plant-based advocacy content on Reddit in the past 2 years. He also spends time training others on how to do the same.
