Tabling for the COMPACT Act at UC Berkeley

We have a historic opportunity to bring real change to the tens of thousands of dogs and cats being experimented on in laboratories across the United States. Congress has just introduced the COMPACT Act (Companion Animal Protection Against Cruel Testing Act) to end federal support for dog and cat experiments. It would even re-home many of the animals currently living in laboratory cages. However, there is not much time to get this passed before the end of the year. We need to make our voices heard so our government knows that their constituents want this bill to be prioritized. Join us in outreaching students at UC Berkeley to help them contact their congressional representatives. WHEN: Tuesday, 10/27 from 11 am - 2 pm WHERE: Sproul Plaza, UC Berkeley — Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) is a grassroots network of animal rights activists. Through open rescue, demonstration, and disruption, we help build a world where every animal is safe, happy and free. DxE cultivates a welcoming and supportive community. We ask that all those who attend our events (online and offline) respect our Code of Conduct which can be reviewed at [dxe.io/conduct](https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fdxe.io%2Fconduct%3Ffbclid%3DIwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAcGRvZgFicmlkETFCOVBDOHd5dEJkUmp6V0Rwc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHvsRqnXln9TpfWZQFFmQJZz93tqzHO96zH3-7iauaoRwWGPApByN_FIeay8w_aem_OCUHC3LwoAknQPBRKvGUQQ&h=AUAU8XptXZWY5vN8CTZzlO09dK9H9SmTSiZhFp5iSYSo7vy5jtsdwOJwBxUVrKOpaBmaFWnYPc6GMbMGTxB_Qhbfrrx_sd84B26Vffmm7VRm8hpY3fJ3lpAWZ5ynZRh7dxwz0isTwf7Oh1LSVCCCGwJWtYODQegW&tn=q&c%5B0%5D=AUD4jDZHwvdc5DyyTWSLYJPVvKx7y5sNK3TBElJ2o2Lo88FPKGzJbpz_URTDofkKNKVIJRDrwPwFQGUtLvtW2TzdNBgREW9FYANGCYDkIzDsbHH5Pi9Un8iTzo_NNQF3T65L7kWrVPJz-H3hTd_GfNZZsJD_Aproeak).
