Houston: Vegan Outreach and Jerky Giveaway During World Cup

Please join local PETA supporters to advocate for animals outside of the Houston FIFA Fan Festival! PETA supporters will hand out vegan beef jerky samples and How to Go Vegan guides to encourage World Cup fans to leave animals off their plates. The tournament reminds us that we share this planet with some incredibly talented and passionate individuals, but we need to extend that appreciation and respect to all Earthlings. No matter the country, animals used for food will never raise their families, root around in the soil, build nests, or do anything else that’s natural and important to them. Most won’t even feel the warmth of the sun on their backs or breathe fresh air until they are loaded onto trucks headed for slaughterhouses. All materials, such as posters and leaflets, will be provided. Please refrain from bringing dogs, as there might not be a comfortable place for them to lie down during the event.
