About this event

The Metropolitan Museum of Art serves birds that are bread to suffer! Take action, and tell the Met that artistic excellence and animal cruelty cannot coexist! August 8 1:00-2:30pm ET The Met is catered by Restaurant Associates, a subsidiary of Compass Group USA. Compass Group USA, the largest foodservice provider in the United States, publicly pledged to stop sourcing Frankenchickens, chickens selectively bred to grow unnaturally large and abnormally fast, often resulting in extreme pain and muscle disorders. Compass Group USA failed to meet their original 2024 deadline to ban Frankenchickens. Join us in pressuring the Met to use its power and demand Restaurant Associates and Compass Group USA to accelerate the implementation of their chicken welfare commitments. At this demo you can show up for the animals by: *Handing out leaflets *Holding Signs *Speaking with and educating passersby *Taking photographs *Building community to build a stronger movement for the animals! ------- By attending this and other Mercy For Animals events, you agree to our Volunteer Terms (https://mercyforanimals.org/volunteer-terms/) and Volunteer Handbook (https://file-cdn.mercyforanimals.org/mercy4animals.wpengine.com/sites/450/2022/01/MFA-Volunteer-Handbook.pdf).
