Film Screening: The Animal People

Join Crow Bloc on June 25th, 7:00pm for a screening of “The Animal People,” a documentary following the lives of six animal activists charged with terrorism by the FBI. The SHAC campaign is one of the most infamous moments in modern animal liberation history. We will be watching the film and then having a discussion afterward on the role of direct action in animal liberation, the place of pressure campaigns as a strategy, how state repression has evolved, and how to maintain a critical eye against hero worship, including of fellow activists.
