About this event

This workshop will focus on lawmaking in Canada and how to influence the legislative process to achieve greater protections for animals. The workshop will include practical training on tracking legislation and lobbying politicians. Participants will consider real, current animal protection bills that are working their way through federal Parliament and provincial legislatures. Attendees will brainstorm amendments to improve legislation, with opportunities for group discussion, peer input, and expert guidance on how to get meetings with politicians and how to lobby them successfully.
