Celebrate Independence Day (a day early!)

Hi Vegan Spirituality Group and friends of VSG: Hope this finds you well and cool! You're invited to a vegan 3rd of July (Friday) walk/hike & potluck picnic to celebrate Independence Day for the Animals and share some joy! (We chose the 3rd to avoid congestion in the park and for ease of travel). If you want to join us for the walk: Meet at 11 am across from the now-closed Cedars House Cafe (200 W. Northwestern Ave, on Forbidden Drive. We'll do an easy hike/walk for about an hour. Linda B will lead the hike. We’ll either walk across Harpers Meadow or along Forbidden Drive. Questions: call my # (see below) to find us! Landmarks: Chestnut Hill College, Bruno's Restaurant, Northwestern Stables. Walk down Northwestern Ave, turn Left at the end to see the Cedars House Cafe. **You can drop off your picnic items first at the gazebo tables and someone will be there to watch over them. Or, skip the walk and join us at the picnic part at noon. Or, skip the hike/walk and join us for a Picnic at Noon. We'll gather at the nearby gazebo across from the Cedars House Cafe. (Rain or Shine!) Bring: A vegan potluck item to share (incl ingredient list in case of allergies), your own plates, cups & cutlery, to be green! (we'll prob bring backups, as well as water). Last year we just used the gazebo picnic tables & benches to sit on but feel free to bring your own chairs/blankets if you’d rather sit on grass. Friendly leashed dogs, frisbees, instruments, singing, hula hoops, community news, and smiles, etc., are welcome. :) Transportation: Parking on Northwestern Ave. & Public trans available (rail to last stops of Chestnut Hill East or West septa rail lines, then bus down to Ch Hill College stop across from Harper's Meadow park). **RSVP or questions: Zie, 267.847.6553, Jim 215.834.4140 Hope to see you there! :-)
