About this event

EAGxSingapore brings together 250 attendees from across Southeast and East Asia for a transformative two-day conference in the heart of Singapore. This conference is an amazing opportunity to interact with engaged community members in the effective altruism (EA) movement who have been actively thinking about and working on EA cause areas. If you’re unsure, apply anyway! Application Process Here’s what you can expect: Apply to the conference (~5-15 minutes). We collect basic details about your interests and engagement with effective altruism, etc. Our team will review your application. We aim to respond to applications within ~14 days, and will be in touch about your application regardless of outcome. Register for the conference (~5 minutes). If you’ve been accepted, you’ll receive an email with a link to register and confirm your place at the conference. At this stage you’ll be asked to provide dietary requirements, indicate whether you’ll be available to volunteer, and more logistical details. Feel free to contact hello@eaglobal.org for any questions. If you want to attend but are unsure about whether to apply, please just apply anyway! Who should apply We'd encourage you to apply if you: have engaged with the global and local EA community and are looking to contribute and find collaborations in EA communities in Asia have spent time engaging with the core ideas of Effective Altruism and thinking about ways to apply these principles in your career hope to utilize your knowledge of EA to make impactful contributions in the EA community in the region wish to engage in constructive discussions and expand connections to learn more about EA As a regional conference, we prioritize attendees from Southeast and East Asia. If in doubt, do err on the side of applying!
