Billy & Tina's ZOO PROTEST No zoo which holds animals captive as entertainment for humans is a "good zoo." Zoos which claim to do "conservation" work can do so all they want without also imprisoning random animals, many from habitats on the other side of the world. You dont need to hold a lone tiger or a bunch of giraffes in small enclosures to help save California condors. Nor do you need to inprison and breed elephants from Asia or Africa for life-long zoo captivity with no hope or plan of them ever seeing the wild in order to "save the species." Conservation and entertainment are two different things. Zoos use conservation propaganda as a form of greenwashing to justify enslaving animals for profit. We reject that. We repeat: no zoos are good zoos. Not the one in Tulsa which Billy and Tina were transfered to from the LA Zoo. Not the Bronx Zoo which just killed Happy. Not the San Diego Zoo with its huge PR budget. And obviously not the LA Zoo. They all hold animals against their will, for mere human entertainment. The only reason anyone should ever go to a zoo is to protest it. If you are in the LA area, come join our ongoing protests. If not, protest the zoo in your city.
