Bagels and Chicken Butts - Sanctuary Volunteer Day

Join us for a morning of bagels, community, and hands-on projects that keep our microsanctuary safe, comfortable, and enriching for the animals in our care. We'll start with bagels and conversation from 8:00–9:00 AM, then spend the morning working together on sanctuary projects from 9:00–11:00 AM. Whether you're a longtime volunteer or visiting for the first time, we'd love to have you join us. Come meet the flocks, connect with fellow animal lovers, and make a meaningful difference for rescued animals. Bagels, juice, and coffee provided. Potential Projects: Disassemble, move, clean, and rebuild an indoor metal kennelClean walls, floor, and stairs in the bantam chickens' indoor spaceClean/rinse off outdoor kennels, roosting bars, and stepsRemove small saplings and invasive growthInstall hardware cloth on the outdoor foster kennelWeed and mulch the memorial garden pathPlant new additions in the aviariesMiscellaneous sanctuary projects as needed No special skills are required—just a willingness to help.
