Portland Foie Gras City Council Vote

🔥 Let’s Pack City Hall for the Force-Fed Foie Gras Ban Vote 🔥 This is the moment we’ve been building for! This is the second and final reading and will include council discussion and the vote! There is no testimony this time, but we still need to pack the room to show broad public support. The number of supporters in the chambers will influence how the council votes and a strong unified presence could be the difference. You don’t need to live in Portland to attend. Everyone is welcome, and it doesn’t matter where you live or where you’re registered to vote. 📅 Thursday, June 4 , 2026 1:30 PM in-person meet up inside the main foyer on the ground floor of City Hall (SW 4th Ave entrance). Meeting starts at 2 PM. 📍 Portland City Hall and Youtube (Livestream) We are the second item on the agenda, so we expect to be on shortly after 2PM. Council has allocated one hour for our item, so we can expect to finish around 3:30 PM. Youtube Livestream: proanimal.org/livestream Let’s bring a respectful, energized, and unified presence. What to expect: Council will finish discussing the foie gras ban and then vote whether or not to pass. How you can help: ✅ Attend in person What to wear: If you have a Pro-Animal Oregon shirt, please wear it. If not, one will be provided for you. Polite request: please avoid shirts that mention veganism or could be interpreted as vegan messaging so we keep the focus on the ordinance and make it easy for everyone to feel included. Parking near City Hall can be limited, so please plan extra time and consider carpooling, biking, or transit if you can. Let’s pack City Hall with supporters. We need a strong showing for animals.
