About this event

Join us on June 8 for a powerful, peaceful demonstration calling for an end to fur farming in Quebec and supporting the ongoing lawsuit filed by Animal Justice and The Fur-Bearers to challenge the province’s failure to ban this entrenched animal suffering which appears to be illegal under Quebec’s provincial animal protection act. In fur farms, animals including foxes, minks, and chinchillas suffer in tiny wire cages. They are killed by being electrocuted or gassed to death before being skinned. It’s time to end this cruel and outdated practice in Quebec! This demonstration will include a coordinated message to elected officials, making it clear that Quebecers expect real political action, and that the failure to act to end fur farming is unreasonable and unlawful. Participants will gather to collectively send a strong, visible message to politicians that this outdated and cruel industry no longer has public support. This is your chance to:-Take part in a visible, peaceful, and impactful demonstration-Add your voice to a growing movement calling for legislative change-Directly send a message to government decision-makers-Stand in solidarity with others demanding an end to fur farming in Quebec Let’s make it clear: fur farming has no place in Quebec.
