Protest chicken cruelty!

WMARA and For the Animals - Western MA will be protesting the sickening cruelty of the factory farms and slaughterhouses from which Chick-Fil-A gets their chickens as part of United Poultry Concern's International Respect for Chickens month - https://www.upc-online.org/. Mercy for Animals has a campaign running against Chick-Fil-A - https://chickfilacruelty.com/. They did an undercover investigation and exposed tremendous cruelty. MFA's investigation at multiple Chick‑fil‑A suppliers reveals "baby birds being violently slammed into transport crates and having their legs and wings broken before being electrocuted and then scalded alive." We can stand on a grassy area right in front of Chick-Fil-A, along Memorial Dr. Please don't park in Chick-Fil-A's lot. There are others right near it we can use. Chickens are very social animals who can form deep and meaningful friendships with other birds. Some birds are outgoing and gregarious, while others are more shy and reserved. As this bill moves to the Senate, we must ensure that our U.S. Senators understand the stakes by rejecting any version of the Farm Bill that includes language that would undo our state agriculture laws.
