About this event
Earlier this year, Faunalytics published 'Tactics in Practice: The Data Behind Humane Education,' inviting us to reflect on the goals of humane education and what’s working. Inspired by this insightful resource, the Institute for Humane Education hosted a community call to discuss the article. The room was full, the conversation was rich, and it was clear we’d only scratched the surface!
So, this month on Wednesday, May 27th at 12 p.m. ET, we're continuing the conversation, this time diving more deeply into tip #4: "Stop Calling it Humane Education."
Dr. Jesika Keener, EdD (Independent Scholar/Activist), and Mary Pat Champeau (Director of IHE's Humane Education graduate programs) will share their perspectives on the term "humane education" and its implications for animal advocacy and beyond. Then we want to hear from you!
