Closest Tube station: Southwark station, distance 5 min walking Closest Bus stop: Blackfriars Road (Stop SL), distance ~50m/170ft A global consumer goods company has faced backlash for dropping their 2025 goal of sourcing 100% cage-free eggs worldwide, maintaining commitments only in Western markets while leaving millions of hens in cages elsewhere. Despite reaching 68% globally, this move raises concerns about prioritizing profit over animal welfare. We launched a campaign with Open Wing Alliance on Feb 3 to push Unilever to restore its global cage-free commitment and publish a clear, actionable plan. Due to their lack of action, we are planning a protest at Unilever’s Annual General Meeting on May 13, 9:30am - 11:30am. Followed by another protest at their Global Headquarters on the next day.
