BAN THE CAGE DEMO – VIVA! – PARLIAMENT SQUARE

Viva! is demanding that the Government commits to banning cruel 'enrichment' cages for hens and we need your help. Join us on Parliament Square on 12th May 2026 and make your voice heard for the 7 million hens still trapped in cages across the UK. The Government is on the verge of doing something historic – committing to a full ban on cages for laying hens. But they're facing intense lobbying from the National Farmers' Union and the British Egg Industry Council, who staunchly oppose the ban and want to continue keeping hens imprisoned in cages. We cannot let that happen. On Tuesday 12th May, Viva! is gathering in Westminster to send a clear message to lawmakers: don’t back down on the cage ban. Where: Parliament Square, Westminster, London, SW1P 3JX When: Tuesday 12 May 2026, 12:30 - 14:30 We'll also be meeting with supportive MPs on the day, and we need a strong, visible show of support outside Parliament to back them up. We’ll bring the placards and banners and you just need to show up and join the crowd!
