About this event

Social media is one of the most powerful tools we have for animal advocacy. Every post has the potential to reach thousands, or even millions of individuals—raising awareness, shifting public opinion, holding corporations and industries accountable, and driving meaningful change for animals. But with endless content competing for attention, breaking through the noise isn’t easy. In this session, participants will learn how to create compelling social media content that stops the scroll, sparks engagement, and inspires action. From crafting strong hooks to simplifying complex issues, this training will equip you with practical strategies to amplify your impact online. The session will be led by Shannon Nickerson, Communications Manager at Animal Justice, who has nearly a decade of experience leading digital advocacy campaigns. Shannon oversees content across Animal Justice’s social media platforms, reaching a combined audience of nearly 300,000 followers. She specializes in turning complex animal protection issues into clear, engaging content that resonates, and motivates people to take action.
