March with ARC in the Mayday Parade

ARC is excited to participate another year in the Mayday Parade! 2026 Theme: We'll have the ARC banner and a lively crew of inflatable animal costumes, plus volunteers sharing fun and educational facts on signs that connect to our campaigns. This year’s lineup includes a frog (dissection), fox (fur industry), pig (Animal Ag/State Fair), dog (Minnesotan's Exposing the Pet Trade), cow (Dairy Industry/State Fair), elephant (circus/Ren Fest), and rooster (Animal Ag/State Fair). *You’re welcome to bring your own inflatable costume (typically $25–$60), but please check in with us first so we can coordinate animals and messaging—and make sure costumes are vegan appropriate (no “riding” styles). If our group includes more than 20 participants, we may need a designated safety walker—so please RSVP on POINT to help us stay organized and safe. Let’s keep it positive! This is a joyful, family-friendly event. We ask all participants to share our message in a kind and respectful way. Dress Code:Please wear a black ARC shirt or Vegan Compassion shirt from Ethique Nouveau if you have one. Otherwise, a plain black shirt works great—we want to look cohesive as a group. Meet-Up Time & Location:Join us at 11:00 AM in Cedar Field Park (2500 Cedar Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55404) so we can organize and walk to the parade start together. The parade is scheduled to begin at noon, but may start moving earlier—so don’t be late! Full details will be sent to those who RSVP through POINT. Accessibility Note:We’ll be moving along the parade route for over 12 blocks. If you're signing up, please ensure you’re able to walk or roll that distance comfortably. Your safety and comfort matter!
