Speak Up for Animals at the UW IACUC Meeting

The University of Washington's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) meets monthly (usually 3rd Thursday of the month) via Zoom to discuss various research protocols (study designs). This is your chance to voice your opinion about the research on animals that goes on at the UW! Please come and speak for the animals! You don't have to be an expert on anything, but it is important that the IACUC members hear from folks that care how animals are treated. Members of the public get 2 minutes at the beginning of the meeting to say whatever you want. Sign up to provide public comment at the meeting by sending an email to: iacucspeakers@uw.edu. Members of the public can attend the IACUC meeting location at the UW Police Department Building’s Public Meeting Room (3939 15th Ave NE Seattle, WA 98105).
