Mothers Day Event to Honor Dairy Cows

Let's not forget Dairy Cows this Mother's Day. WMARA is teaming up with ForTheAnimals for this event. Dairy farming is cruel to mother cows because it relies on a continuous cycle of forced pregnancy, traumatic separation from their calves, and intense physical exploitation that disregards their natural maternal instincts and biological lifespan. While a cow's natural lifespan can exceed 20 years, dairy cows are typically slaughtered after 3 to 5 years when their bodies are "spent" from constant milk production.
