Earth Day Environment Support Party in Acton!

Join us for an Environment Support Party in Acton! In honor of Earth Day, volunteers will also be welcome to join a composting course and learn how to reduce their food waste going to the landfill. Volunteers will be preparing the sanctuary grounds for an expected smoky summer in Southern California. There will also be freebies, a complimentary tour, and a potluck lunch with complementary drinks and desserts. Here are the details for the day: 9:00 am: Check in with Experience Team in the Courtyard 9:15 am-9:45 am: Volunteer Orientation 9:45 am-12:00 pm: Volunteer Project Work 12:00 pm-1:00 pm: Vegan Potluck Lunch with Complementary Drinks & Dessert (optional) 1:00-2:00pm: Composting Workshop (optional) 2:00 pm-3:00 pm: Complimentary Guided Tour of the Sanctuary (optional) What to wear/bring: - Wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. - We also recommend bringing a water bottle, but of course, we also have water and cups here.- Weather protection: please always check the forecast before making the trip to sanctuary. We always recommend bringing sunscreen and a hat during spring & summer months.
