About this event
Join us for an afternoon of advocacy, education, and good drinks as we take action to defend Proposition 12, California's landmark farm animal protection law.
Passed by California voters in 2018 and upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2023, Prop 12 bans the extreme confinement of egg-laying hens, pigs, and veal calves and prohibits the sale of products from caged animals in California. But right now, powerful agribusiness interests and industry-friendly members of Congress are trying to wipe it out through the 2025 Farm Bill and bills like the Save Our Bacon Act (H.R. 4673) and the Food Security and Farm Protection Act (S. 1326) β rebranded versions of the repeatedly-failed EATS Act.
At this event, you'll:
Learn about Prop 12, the Farm Bill threats, and what's at stake for millions of animals
Make phone calls to your Members of Congress using proven scripts
Send emails to lawmakers urging them to oppose any Farm Bill language that would overturn state agriculture laws
Connect with fellow advocates over boba π§
No experience needed β we'll provide all the scripts, talking points, and guidance. The stakes are high and the timing is urgent. Your voice matters now more than ever.
Come for the cause. Stay for the boba.
