Protest for Animals Abused by Jordan World Circus

Please join local PETA supporters and Animal Rights Collective Portland (ARCPDX) to help free Viola the elephant and urge Jordan World Circus to stop using animals in its circuses! Jordan World Circus uses an elderly elephant, Viola, who has escaped from the circus at least three times. Viola is supplied by Carson & Barnes Circus, which has been cited for more than 100 violations of the federal Animal Welfare Act. A PETA investigation revealed that she was being forced to perform daily despite having chronically swollen feet and signs of other ailments that impacted her rear legs. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus returned to the circus ring using only willing human participants, and it’s time for Jordan World Circus to follow suit! All materials, such as posters and leaflets, will be provided. **Please refrain from bringing dogs, as there might not be a comfortable place for them to lie down during the protest.
