About this event

The Institute for Humane Education (IHE) is hosting an information session about our humane education programs – programs that include animal protection as a key pillar of our work. We would love more folks passionate about topics like animal protection, farmed animal advocacy, ending factory farming, and veganism to join our graduate program. The field of humane education explores the interconnected issues of environmental ethics, animal protection, and human rights. Through this comprehensive lens, our programs include meaningful explorations and discussions around the impact of factory farming and food systems, which are especially present in our courses "Animal Protection" and "Race, Intersectionality, and Veganism." In partnership with Antioch University, we offer an MEd, MA, EdD, and graduate certificate. The graduate degrees are designed to help you learn and educate about complex issues in relevant and transformative ways, which can greatly enhance and deepen your advocacy. To learn more about these programs, check out our website: https://humaneeducation.org/graduate-programs Antioch University offers credit for your lived experience and for previous graduate courses. For students in the US, financial aid and work study are also options. IHE courses, taught by our expert faculty, are community-centered, discussion-based, and meet regularly on Zoom. We welcome you to join us on Friday, April 3rd, at 12:00 pm ET for a brief presentation and an informal conversation about the programs. Be sure to bring your questions! Please feel free to reach out to our Community Connection Specialist, Emily Tronetti (emily@humaneeducation.org), or our Director of Graduate Programs, Mary Pat Champeau (marypat@humaneeducation.org) with any questions.
