Getting Media Attention for Animals with DxE's Cassie King

In this presentation, Cassie will discuss: -the basics of building a press list -writing and sending different press materials including useful tools like, advisories, releases, pitches, and op-eds -she will share big picture takeaways from a decade of communications work with DxE Cassie King has been organizing with DxE since 2016, and became DxE’s Communications Lead in 2018 after graduating from UC Berkeley. She has secured positive media coverage about animal rights in The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, National Geographic, The Guardian, and many other mainstream outlets. She lives with two wonderful rabbits, who were both openly rescued from slaughter by DxE activists.
