About this event

Join us for a peaceful protest calling on Coca-Cola to end its financial support of SeaWorld, a company that keeps beluga whales confined in barren concrete tanks for entertainment and profit. Belugas are highly intelligent, social animals who travel vast distances in the wild, communicate through complex vocalizations, and rely on deep, cold oceans to thrive. In captivity, they are denied everything that makes life meaningful—space, choice, family bonds, and a healthy environment. Many suffer from stress, illness, and shortened lifespans. Despite public concern and growing awareness, Coca-Cola continues to partner with SeaWorld, helping legitimize and fund the ongoing captivity of beluga whales. As one of the world’s most powerful brands, Coca-Cola has the ability—and the responsibility—to stop supporting animal suffering. We are demanding that Coca-Cola: End all partnerships with SeaWorld Publicly oppose the captivity and breeding of beluga whales Align its brand with compassion, science, and true conservation Stand with us to speak up for belugas. Belugas deserve the ocean—not tanks. WHERE: Coca-Cola Bottling Co 1710 Elton Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20903 WHEN: Sat, Feb 7 12:30pm Contact: protectthewhalesorg@gmail.com
