About this event
Foie gras is produced by force-feeding ducks or geese far more food than they would ever eat naturally. A tube is repeatedly forced down their throats, causing severe suffering, including swollen livers, difficulty walking, and internal injuries. By the time the birds are slaughtered, their livers can be up to ten times their normal size, a condition known as hepatic steatosis. This practice is cruel, yet foie gras is still served in Minneapolis.
We are organizing peaceful protests at locations that serve foie gras and invite others to join us in standing for animal justice.
Protest dates:Thursday, Jan 1 – 8:00 PMThursday, Jan 8 – 8:00 PMSunday, Jan 18 – 11:00 AMThursday, Jan 22 – 8:00 PM
