About this event

Join Planted Society for a fun and practical conversation about ALL THINGS BEANS, featuring Registered Dietitian Rhyan Geiger and 8 Track Foods President Maggie Sadowsky. We’ll explore how beans support fiber intake and overall health, as well as their environmental benefits. We’ll learn how to use them at home and their role in broader community food systems. Come learn, ask questions, and get inspired by all the ways we can “bean better, together!” How To: Bean Better is part of Planted Society’s “How To: Eat for Impact” webinar series. These sessions bring together experts, organizers, and creators to explore what is shifting in our food system and offer space to think about how we can apply those ideas in our own lives, kitchens, and communities. Everyone is welcome. Rhyan Geiger is an award-winning plant-based dietitian (Phoenix Vegan Dietitian) on a mission to help people enjoy more plant-based foods. She is the author of Vegan Slow Cooking for Two, and has been featured in Women’s Health, Well+Good, Forbes, Food Network, Shape, and more. She’s also appeared on Arizona’s 12 News and abc15. Rhyan graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Dietetics and completed her Dietetic Internship at Georgia Southern University. Maggie Seng Sadowsky is a Certified Food Scientist and category strategist committed to giving rise to the next magical ingredient: the SuperBean. Before launching 8 Track Foods, she led The Culinary Architects, partnering with brands such as Conagra, Kellogg, Ingredion, and Beyond Meat.
