For the animals, the EATS Act is the meteor headed towards Earth. It’s legislation in Congress that—if passed—would wipe out farm animal laws across the country and prevent impactful new laws from passing in the future. EATS Act is primarily backed by the National Pork Producers Council and The Farm Bureau and their powerful allies in Congress. But…we’re fighting back!
Please join us in a conversation with Josh Balk, one of the leaders fighting the EATS Act. He’s a former open rescuer and undercover investigator. He later headed the farm animal work at the Humane Society of the United States where he led the passage of California’s historic Prop 12 ballot measure (the strongest law in the world for farm animals) and passed nearly a dozen similar laws across the country.
We’ll be discussing all the progress we’ve made legislatively for farm animals in the U.S., the latest on the EATS Act, and what we can do to prevent this legislation from ever passing.
