Protest at Trader Joe's 🐓 Boston

Organized by Boston Team for the Animals

About this event

We are protesting Trader Joe's to drop their ties perdue poultry. Trader Joe’s continues to sell criminally abused chickens from Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry in their own packaging even though they are well aware of the widespread cruelty, neglect, and disease at their facilities. Investigations have revealed birds who are so sick and injured they are unable to walk to food or water, birds with open wounds, and birds who entered the slaughterhouse scalder while still conscious and were boiled alive. DxE animal rescuer Zoe Rosenberg was just sentenced to 90 days in custody after being convicted of felony conspiracy and several misdemeanors for exposing this abuse and rescuing four chickens from their slaughterhouse, yet Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry and Trader Joe’s have yet to face any consequences for what they are doing to animals. Trader Joe’s has even filed a lawsuit against us in an attempt to stop our protests, but we will not be scared into silence. During this nationwide weekend of action happening December 5th to December 7th, we will once again ask Trader Joe’s to do the right thing and drop Perdue's Petaluma Poultry as a supplier.
