NYC FUR - FREE FRIDAY!

Join Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade, Animal Activism Collective, NY Hates Fur, and ARMNYC for an epic FUR-FREE FRIDAY in NYC! November 28th is not a random weekend selected out of a hat, but rather a tribute to the history of Fur-Free Friday and an exploitation of one of the largest shopping days of the year. The day after Thanksgiving may be known as Black Friday by retailers, but for anti-fur activists it is an opportunity to disrupt business on the busiest shopping day of the year. This is a long-standing tradition known as Fur-Free Friday. The fur industry is teetering on the edge of collapse. Not only have many luxury companies dropped fur, but we just convinced the most influential fashion publication, Vogue magazine, to stop promoting fur. However, our work is NOT done. LVMH, one of the world's biggest luxury conglomerates and owner of Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Berluti, Loro Piana, Dior, and more continues to sell the fur of animals like foxes and mink. It's time to show them the power of the anti-fur movement. Animals deserve more than your thoughts and prayers--they deserve action. The grassroots movement can end the fur industry in this generation if we stick together and stay focused. This year, there are activists from all around the country coming in to attend! We are kicking things off at Berluti, the subject of our current campaign, and then we will be hitting several LVMH stores afterwards. Bring your whistles, megaphones, signs, ear plugs, and get ready to be loud and center the plight of fur-bearing animals on this busy shopping day.
