Waterfront Stair Hike with Views

Hosted by Liz Janes and Melinda Hamm On Saturday, October 11 at 10:00 am, San Francisco Vegan Society members will have a leisurely urban stroll and stair climb. We’ll gather outside of Senor Sisig (Bay side promenade) of the Ferry Building, then walk along the Embarcadero to Pier 23, cross through Levi’s Park, then walk west on Greenwich Street and up the Greenwich Street steps (about 22 flights) to Coit Tower. If you have never been to the top of Coit Tower, there may be a line for the elevator ride, but it's worth it ($7 adults, $4 seniors.) Afterwards we will return down the Filbert Street steps by the Grace Marchant Garden, cross through Levi’s Plaza again, walk down Front Street to Jackson Square, south on Drumm Street, then walk through Sue Bierman Park back to the start. Those who want to gather for lunch, Senor Sisig has a vegan menu! We’ll aim to be back there around noon. The stairclimbing portion of the hike is a workout for those who want to make it one. Others in the group (including the hosts) may need more time. There are views from the stairs at every landing!
