About this event

Join us for great food and socializing with your fellow vegans at our monthly potluck! For those who are new to veganism or plant-based eating, welcome! This month our special guest will be Pria Acharya, who will give a presentation about her just-published book, Go Vegan, Mindfully: Barriers, Breakthroughs, and Vitality (see description below). WHAT TO BRING: • A vegan dish to serve at least 8 with a recipe card or list of ingredients. (ALL vegan please: NO meat, bacon, eggs, poultry, fish, dairy products or honey. Short on time? Prepared items from the store or deli are very welcome here! Just be sure it serves at least eight people, and check the ingredients to make sure it's all vegan (or look for a statement that it's vegan). If you do not know what to bring, please contact Denver Vegans leadership. • Your own utensils and reusable place setting, as well as a serving utensil for your dish. • $3.00 cash fee to cover our rental space. (Payment by Zelle or PayPal will also be available.) We gather at 6 PM. and eat at 6:30 PM. The presentation will begin after the meal, around 7:15. NOTE: if you wish to come ONLY for the talk at 7:15 then you don't need to RSVP . SPECIAL PRESENTATION: Go Vegan, Mindfully: Barriers, Breakthroughs, and Vitality - Author and mindfulness teacher Pria Acharya explores how simple awareness practices help us align our values with our plates. A practical, compassionate talk on navigating social pressure, cravings, and habits; finding joy and vitality in plant-based living; and taking doable next steps. Followed by Q&A and book signing. Go Vegan, Mindfully invites you on a deeply personal and empowering path through the inner and outer barriers that hold us back from living with integrity, health, and connection. Whether you’re vegan-curious, a seasoned plant-based soul, or someone seeking deeper meaning in a disconnected world, this book is your companion for living awake and alive—every step of the way. Pria Acharya is a documentary filmmaker, certified mindfulness teacher, and ethical vegan with roots in Rajasthani Brahmin culture. As a mother, survivor, and storyteller, she weaves ancient wisdom with modern insight to help others live from truth, love, and liberation. We hope to see you there!
