About this event
JOIN US FOR A CITY HALL RALLY
Thursday, August 14 — 12:45 PM
Outside City Hall Gates (Broadway Entrance) Broadway and Murray Street, outside the security booth.
Another carriage horse is dead. This Thursday, we show City Hall that New Yorkers will not stand by while horses like Lady are worked to death.
Lady collapsed and died on the streets of Manhattan — yet Council Member Lynn Schulman and Speaker Adrienne Adams still refuse to even hold a hearing for Ryder's Law! On Thursday, as every Council Member heads into their meeting, we’ll be outside in force demanding they pass Ryder’s Law to ban this deadly, outdated industry.
We’ll be joined by numerous elected officials, PETA, and animal advocates across the city. This is our moment to be seen and heard — by the very people who can end this cruelty.
Bring your outrage. Bring your voice. For Lady — and for every horse still trapped and suffering.
Posters will be provided.
