VSDC Book Club discusses “The Light Eaters” (online)

Please join the Veg Society of DC Book Club discussion of “The Light Eaters: How the Unseen World of Plant Intelligence Offers a New Understanding of Life on Earth” by Zoë Schlanger. This meeting will take place online, via zoom. “She expertly explains that plants can communicate, hear, and adapt. They’re not trying to mimic humans either; they have their own complex structures and systems." — Library Journal, Best Nonfiction of 2024 To participate read at least half the book — and RSVP at least two days before the meeting. The VSDC Book Club began meeting online in March 2020 (previously we met in vegetarian restaurants in DC or nearby Maryland or Virginia).
