Farm Bill Action Hour in the park!

The Farm bill timeline has been expedited, and members of Congress are looking to push it through before the end of the year. If you're unfamiliar with this bill, it's a piece of legislation that could potentially include VERY dangerous language that harms animals. This language comes in the form of another bill called the EATS Act, which has harmful implications and would overturn important animal welfare laws like California’s Proposition 12. This could erase decades of work from animal advocates. Join us at this action hour as we provide an updated overview of the landscape surrounding the EATS Act and Farm Bill. We'll be sharing some newly discovered information on this legislation. Then we'll shift to actions, which includes calling and emailing our state representatives and discussing strategies for upcoming district lobbying and town halls. This event will be at Bryant Park - we'll either find an open sitting area or bring a few picnic blankets to sit down.
