About this event

The Institute for Humane Education is hosting an information session about our graduate programs in humane education – programs that include animal protection as a key pillar of our work. We would love more folks passionate about topics like animal protection, farmed animal advocacy, ending factory farming, and veganism to join our graduate program. The field of humane education explores the interconnected issues of environmental ethics, animal protection, and human rights. The graduate degrees are designed to help you learn and educate about complex issues in relevant, meaningful, and transformative ways, which can greatly enhance and deepen your advocacy. As a recent graduate of the Ed.D. program shared: “My experience in this program completely changed how I approach my work as an advocate for other animals. It changed my life.” In partnership with Antioch University, we offer an M.Ed., M.A., Ed.D., and graduate certificate. Antioch University offers credit for your lived experience, for graduate courses taken in previous unfinished programs, and financial aid. Our courses are community-centered, discussion-based, and meet regularly on Zoom. All faculty are experts in their fields. We welcome you to join us on Thursday, July 31, at 12:00 pm ET for a brief presentation and an informal conversation + Q&A about the programs. This will be the last info session before the application deadline, August 25. Please feel free to reach out to our Community Connection Specialist, Emily Tronetti (emily@humaneeducation.org), or our Director of Graduate Programs, Mary Pat Champeau (marypat@humaneeducation.org) with any questions:
