Animal Sanctuary Workday

Want to hang out with pigs, goats, and cows and make a real difference? Spend the day helping a local animal sanctuary with the kind of hands-on care that keeps them going—mucking stalls, shoveling straw, hauling mulch, and yes, giving belly rubs to pigs and kisses to curious goats. It’s a beautiful, dirty, fulfilling day where you’ll build real bonds with rescued animals and the people who care for them. This isn’t just a visit—it’s a workday, and the sanctuaries are counting on us to show up ready to help. But don’t worry—there’s a job for every ability level, from light tasks to more physical ones. Just wear clothes you can get messy (jeans are best!), bring a water bottle, and show up at 10am sharp in the One Living Sanctuary driveway for our morning task briefing. Please respect the animals' boundaries—some love cuddles, others need space. And to keep things safe and manageable, we ask that no children under 10 attend. Snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own food too. We’ll have gloves and hand sanitizer, though you’re welcome to bring your own gear. Whether you come for the chores, the company, or the cow cuddles—this is a day you won’t forget. Let’s get our boots muddy for a cause that matters.
