Join us in reading a Costa Rican tale where historical fiction meets magical realism. 📚Join the Veggie Mijxs Book Club on Sunday, July 27th, 2025 at 6:30PM ET to discuss this month’s read “Where There Was Fire” by: John Manueel Arias🌴This book is a historical fiction set in Costa Rica about tragedy, mystery, trauma, and a mother-daughter relationship trying to forgive what they do not yet understand. Brimming with ancestral spirits, omens, and anthropomorphic forces of nature, Arias weaves a tapestry of love, loss, secrets, and redemption. 🔥This is a BIPOC-centered virtual event open to all cities.
