Virtual Memorial for Indu

We're hosting a virtual memorial to honor the tragic life and death of the Phoenix Zoo’s last elephant, Indu, who was euthanized on May 5, under suspicious circumstances. The zoo claimed on its social media post that a few weeks prior to her death, Indu was doing “quite well” and posted a video of her splashing in her shallow pool. We are honored that Deena Metzger, an amazing poet, storyteller and Earth activist, will provide the opening words for Indu's memorial.
