WMARA's First Hybrid Meeting - at The Pulse and on Zoom!

Hello Fellow Animal Advocates, I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your summer! WMARA invites you all to our summer kickoff meeting! WMARA is restructuring with the help of a wonderful new co-administrator, Crysania Dangoor, a recent UMass graduate and active member of the UMass monkey lab campaign. Unite and brainstorm with fellow local animal advocates while discussing current/future campaigns, plans, ideas and legislation! WMARA hasn't had an open meeting since April 2020, but we decided it's time to restart them with Crysania and some enthusiastic new members. We also are restructuring WMARA using a more team-oriented approach. Some longtime members that helped organize public outreach/educational events before the pandemic are also eager to return! Since February 2011 WMARA has revolved around protesting, leafleting, tabling, hosting film screenings/speakers and social events. We haven't hosted film screenings/speakers or social events in a while but may restart if there is enough interest. So please join our hybrid meeting on Monday, June 30th, 5:30–7:00, to restart WMARA with more unity and teamwork! Join us to connect with fellow animal rights advocates, plan events for the summer, and brainstorm for the future of the group. If you have any events or projects you’d like to organize, be sure to let us know. Even if you don't have time to work on a campaign, we want your input! Let's put our brains, skills and hearts together for our fellow creatures. We have accomplished a lot since 2011 but must continue moving forward with new strategies and members.
