About this event
Join ARC and Zac, founder of @OnPoint_Foraging, for an engaging beginner-friendly mushroom foraging class at beautiful Theodore Wirth Park! We'll meet at Mill Valley Market at 9:30 AM sharp, then head into the woods to learn the basics of identifying and responsibly harvesting wild mushrooms.
What to Expect:
• A guided walk through trails, trees, and brush—come ready to explore!
• Hands-on learning about mushroom identification, ideal climates/seasons, and ethical foraging practices.
• A chance to connect with nature and discover something new. Around 12:00 pm, we'll head to Zac's place so he can teach us how to clean, prepare, and cook the mushrooms we foraged!
Free parking is available in the lot across from the restaurant. Dress for the terrain: Wear comfy clothes and sturdy shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Weather-dependent: Please sign up on POINT so we can notify you of any updates.
Suggested Donation: We kindly ask for a $30 minimum donation, payable in cash at the start of the class. About OnPoint Foraging: OnPoint Foraging was founded by a couple passionate about holistic health, sustainability, and nature’s gifts. Their mission is to make local, high-quality, and eco-conscious products more accessible. Through in-person classes, they aim to reconnect people with the land, teaching how to safely identify mushrooms and forage mindfully throughout the seasons.
