National Animal Rights Day Ottawa 2025

Join us for the Ottawa edition of National Animal Rights Day!! This year's event will be taking place on Parliament Hill! Please wear black/dark blue. We will be holding a ceremony to commemorate the animals who have been subjected to atrocities and exploitation at the hands of humans, and allow passers by to read their stories. The National Animal Rights Day (NARD) is an annual day observed in more than 50 countries around the world, on the first Sunday in June, for the purpose of giving a voice to all animals and raising awareness for their rights. On this day, special NARD events are held in dozens of major cities - from Tokyo to Mumbai, Rome to London, Los Angeles to Mexico City - to Commemorate the billions of animals who die every year by human hands, Educate the public about humanity's treatment of animals and the alternatives to it, and Celebrate the progress that is being made towards ending the suffering of animals on Earth. These events bring the animal rights community together, and allow people to mourn, and celebrate, together, thus empowering them to keep fighting for animals.
