About this event

From same-sex penguin parents to gender-fluid clownfish, nature is far queerer than many people realize. Join the Veg Society of DC's lively, plant-based Lunch & Learn as part of World Pride DC — a celebration of queerness, compassion, and curiosity! Addison Chantz from the Farm Animal Rights Movement will share a fascinating talk on queerness in the animal kingdom. Come enjoy a delicious plant-based meal from DC Vegan, connect with new people, and explore how queerness in animals invites us to think differently about gender and love from other species to our own communities. There is no fee to attend but PLEASE DO purchase dinner and drinks from DC Vegan. All are welcome — bring a friend and an appetite for discovery! Many thanks to VSDC members Aashish Bhimani and Max Broad for organizing this event.
