Providence, RI: Protest at Stop & Shop to End Cages and Lunch at Plant City!

Join us for a peaceful protest to demand that Stop & Shop finally follow through on its broken promise to end the sale of eggs from cruel battery cages. The company pledged to go cage-free by 2025 — but with the deadline here, they’ve failed to act. Chickens remain crammed in tiny wire cages, unable to spread their wings. We'll stand together outside this store to call on Stop & Shop to stop stalling and do the right thing for animals. Meet us on the public sidewalk close to the sign off Pawtucket Ave. Signs and leaflets will be provided — just bring your passion for animals and your voice! Let's show Stop & Shop that their customers and community expect better. After the protest, we’ll head to New Burger at Plant City in Providence for a casual dinner together. It’s a great chance to connect, debrief, and enjoy some delicious vegan food!
