VSDC Vegan Sketchers at the U.S. Botanical Gardens

Come sketch with us at the U.S. Botanical Gardens! We'll spend the first hour walking through the collections in the Conservatory, gathering inspiration. Then we'll head outside in search of benches in the shade on either the Gardens' grounds or at Bartholdi Park across the street. You'll need to bring your own art materials such as a sketchbook, pencil(s), pen(s), small watercolor set, brushes, water, etc. In case benches are hard to come by, consider bringing a packable camp chair and/or blanket, whatever will make you most comfortable sitting for the remainder of the event. Also, feel free to bring a picnic lunch as there are no food concessions nearby. All skill levels are encouraged to attend, whether you're a sketching newbie or a seasoned artist. I guarantee we all have something to learn from each other! Leashed pets are allowed throughout the outdoor gardens. Pets are not allowed inside the Conservatory. Service dogs that are trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability are welcome in all areas of the garden unless the dog poses a direct threat, is not housebroken, or is not under the control of the owner. Bathroom Facilities/Water: Restroom facilities and a water fountain are available in the Botanical Gardens. Weather: This event will be canceled if rain or strong winds are forecast.
